Thank you to everyone who nominated a Metro Detroit school music program for Sing It Forward with TBD A Cappella! Nominations are now closed, and we are reviewing submissions as we prepare to announce this year’s finalists.

1. Nominate Your School

Choir directors, booster groups, parents, students, alumni, and community members can nominate a Metro Detroit school music or performing arts program.

2. TBD Selects Finalists

TBD A Cappella will review nominations and select finalists based on school fit, location, venue, availability, and potential community impact.

3. The Community Votes

Finalist schools will be shared publicly, and the community will vote to help choose the winning program.

4. The Winner Hosts the Concert

The winning school hosts a TBD A Cappella benefit concert and keeps the ticket proceeds for its music or arts program, minus any pre-approved travel or production expenses if applicable.

This past spring, TBD A Cappella partnered with Northville middle school singers for an unforgettable night of harmony, music, and community.

Now, through Sing It Forward, we’re looking to bring that same energy to another Metro Detroit school.

Sing It Forward is perfect for:

What the Winning School
Receives

The winning school will receive a donated TBD A Cappella performance for a school-hosted benefit concert.

The school will manage ticketing, promotion, and event logistics, and will keep the ticket proceeds for its music or arts program. Any travel or production expenses will be discussed and approved before the event is confirmed.

Donated Performance
TBD donates its performance fee for the winning school.

Fundraiser Opportunity
The school sells tickets and uses the proceeds to support its music or arts program.

Community Event
Students, families, and community members experience a high-energy live a cappella concert.

TBD A Cappella is also booking school concerts, assemblies, workshops, fundraisers, and collaborative events for the upcoming school year.

If your school is interested in hosting TBD outside of the Sing It Forward program, we’d love to hear from you.

Sing It Forward nominations are open through Sunday, July 26 at 11:59 PM. Finalists will be selected by TBD A Cappella and shared publicly for community voting in August. No purchase or donation is required to nominate or vote. The winning school will receive a donated TBD A Cappella performance and will keep ticket proceeds for its music or arts program, minus any pre-approved travel or production expenses if applicable. Final performance date, venue, and event details must be mutually agreed upon by TBD A Cappella and the winning school.
